Built-in 1940, by the first king of Swat Miangul Abdul Wadud, White Palace is a beautiful landmark. The White Palace is located in the small town of Marghazar, which is about 13 kilometers away from Saidu Sharif.
The palace is known as the White Palace because it was entirely built from white marble, which was specially imported from Jaipur India. The material for the mesmerizing Taj Mahal was also imported from the same place. The raw materials for the palace were imported from all around the world. The King brought marble from Agra, bronze from Belgium, and artisans from Turkey who designed the palace. The palace is home to a vast variety of fauna and flora. The beautiful collection of fauna and flora makes the area look like a mini zoo. The Palace still has 24 big rooms and 2 big conference halls where the King used to hold meetings.
