Karakar Pass: A Mountain Pass

A mountain pass located in the Hindu Kush Mountain connecting Swat and Buner is Karakar Pass of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Buner Valley is accessible from the top of the Karakar Pass. The Karakar Pass is at an elevation of 1.336 meters.

It is believed that Akbar tried to invade Swat in 1586 along with his 8000 man army through this pass. The road over the Karakar Pass is paved and is called the Buner Road.
