Makli Graveyard: Largest Funerary Site

One of the largest funerary sites in the world is Makli Graveyard. It is located in Sindh, Pakistan. The Makli Necropolis is spread over 10 kilometers near the city of Thatta.

The site houses in the graveyard are approximately 1 million. Makli Graveyard is situated on a plateau, which is approximately 6 kilometers from the city of Thatta in the town of Makli.

The graveyard is famous because it has the funerary monuments of many royal Sufi saints and scholars. In 1981, the site was listed as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The amazing testaments of the Sindhi civilization from the 14^th to 18^th century are visible at the Makli graveyard.
