North and South Waziristan: Land of the wazir

Waziristan is a Pushto word, which means the land of the Wazir. Waziristan is a hilly area that is divided into North and South Waziristan. North and South Waziristan are Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts with a total area of 11,585 square kilometers. Waziristan is populated by the Pashtuns and the land is named after the tribe living here. The locals of the place speak Pashto.
