K2 Base Camp
Godwin Austin most famously known as K2 is the world’s second-largest gigantic mountain peak of the world. K2 is present in the renowned Karakorum mountain range in the north Baltistan (Gilgit Baltistan) area of Pakistan.
Unlike the dome shape of Everest i.e. the largest mountain peak, K2 comprises a unique pyramid shape with a max height of 8611 meters above sea level. K2 was discovered by Thomas Montgomerie in the Trigonometrical survey when the area was referred to as the British colonized India.
K2 Base Camp with its height of 16,400 feet is a massive tourist attraction that provides the best possible chance to view nature’s amazing creation from the perfect angle ever. K2 base camp is nevertheless trekker’s dream come true. Every year a humungous number of hikers and explorers visit the K2 base camp to explore the unmatchable and stunning beauty of this place.
The most important thing to keep in mind whenever you are coming to visit the K2 base camp is that it is a hard nut to crack and you need to be on your toes to do that. Physical fitness along with mental consciousness is an essential element that will help you to reach the K2 Base camp. The nearest village near the base camp is 75 miles away, and once you left from there for the camp there is only one way ahead.
On the flip side, it is worth giving a shot. National and international tourists have to take a direct flight to reach Skardu. From where they usually book gypsy or other local vehicles to reach their destination.
Apart from the breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and glaciers on their way, many of the explorers are attracted to insane rock climbing and trekking activities. The surrounding area of the base camp is full of award-winning sights, glaciers, forts, and even the horrifying yet attractive hilly trails.
Tourists and adventurers are welcome to visit the astounding beauty any time but the preferred days of the year should be of the spring and early summers.
Before visiting work hard on your stamina and physical endurance as it is long trekking with all your heavy bags and stuff with you, but as hard it is to reach, the prize at the end is even much satisfying.
