Kharmang is one of the main valleys in Gilgit Baltistan. It is one of the major tourist attractions in Gilgit with it being only 320 kilometers from Gilgit city and approximately 120 kilometers from the capital city of Skardu.

The Valley is magically grabbing, attracting tourists all around the world. One may wonder what is so attractive about Kharmang Valley. It is simple. The lush green pastures and Karakoram Mountains in the range of sight make it a jaw-dropping pictures. You can enjoy the fresh gushing water from springs nearby which is another benefit that adds to the Valley beauty.
You can’t just get bore with the place since it is near so many main tourist destinations. The region has Manthoka Waterfall, Khamosh Waterfall, and Mehdiabad Valley closely located. Tourists can travel to these attractions and enjoy their vacation with each location providing something unique and different.
The locals are scattered in villages and mostly speak ‘Balti’. The main source of income is livestock and agriculture. Tourists can enjoy the livestock freely roaming around the farms with great agricultural land spread across the region.
Transport and Accommodation
Transport can be easily available if you book a bus from Islamabad for Skardu. You can then book a jeep from Skardu to travel on rough terrain. Transport can be cheap depending on what method you choose. You can also book a private car, for comfort and a relaxing ride. Accommodation is fairly easy, with 5-star hotels available to stay at night.
