KOTLI SATTIAN : BEAUTIFUL HOME TOWN OF THE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE

 Situated in the Northern Punjab Kotli Sattiyan is a subclass of the District of Rawalpindi. Its distance from Islamabad is approximately 40 km. The name Kotli Sattiyan comes from the name of a mountain Kotli and the Satti tribe. This place is home to the Satti tribe for a decade. The people of Kotli Sattiyan are mostly mentioned as Paharis. The people here are very welcoming and simple. They are naturally very strong people and respect their ancestors very much who were great fighters.

Hills are abundantly covered with ravishing pine trees which makes this place very attractive. Contrary to Murree hills, the hills in Kotli sattiyan are much planar. This place is exceptionally calming and pleasing where a person loses oneself in the serenity of the forest with birds of rare breeds flying here and there and the leaves of the pine trees making whispering and relaxing sounds.

Located in the center of the pine forest, Danoi Forest Rest House is quite famous. To stay here you need to book in advance. The bookings will be done from the forest department office.
