Lulusar Lake: A Captivating Scenery
A group of mountain peaks and a lake in the valley of Kaghan in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan is known as Lulusar Lake. Situated near the Naran valley Lulusar Lake is 3,410 meters long and is the primary headwaters of the Kunhar River. The Kunhar Rivers flows through the entire Kaghan Valley through Jalkhand, Kaghan, Naran Valley, Paras, Balakot, and then joins the Jhelum River.
The word “sar” is derived from Pashto, which means top or peak. Lulusar is the name of the mountain that constitutes the river. Lulusar is a historic place because, during the war of independence in 1857, 55 participants were arrested from here.
