MANGLA DAM: DAM SURROUNDED BY MAJESTIC MOUNTAINS

Built on the Jhelum River in Azad Kashmir specifically in the Mirpur district, Mangla Dam is a multifunction dam. It is of great importance to Pakistan as it is the seventh-largest dam worldwide. Its name refers to the Mangla village. This place is extremely popular among the tourists as there are so many interesting activities in which one can indulge over here which is all due to the Water Sports Club. One can enjoy parasailing, boating as well as jet skiing over here. The mountains located at the back of the dam enhance its beauty.

The overall ambiance of this place is extremely calming and relaxing. Approximately 13 parks are made in the Mangla cantonment and are known for their lush greenery and atmosphere. One such park is Mangla Viewpoint which is quite famous. If you are traveling from Islamabad then it will take you a drive of about 1.5 hours to reach over here.
