SHIMSHAL VALLEY: BREATHTAKING VALLEY

Located in Gojal Tehsil of the scenic Hunza District in the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan, Shimshal is a valley quite well-known among the trekkers. Shimshal is one of the picturesque locations of Hunza and is a great spot to spend your vacations at. It is at an elevation of about 3, 100 m above sea level. The peaceful and serene atmosphere of the valley enlightens the soul and refreshes the mind. You can get to Shimshal valley from Hunza by jeep rides. For this, you have to book a seat in advance through the guesthouses located at Hunza.

The jeep ride will take about 4 to 5 hours to reach Shimshal valley and will cost you about Rs 500 which is 3 US Dollars. The way towards the valley is breathtaking and one feels like stopping at every location. There are many activities in which one can indulge but they require permissions which can be arranged by agencies. This valley provides great hiking opportunities as well. There are some glaciers located at the bottom such as Yazghil glacier whose walking distance from Shimshal is of about 3 hours. The walk is enticing and rewarding because one can get to see the alluring sights of many peaks from here.

One can access Shimshal Pass, through Shimshal Valley which is quite well-known among trekkers. The people of Shimshal are quite simple and sweet. Some guesthouses are available over here for people who plan to stay over here. Although, they might be a little expensive as it is a remote village and necessities of life are not easily accessible. So, if you want to escape the boredom of daily life and want to spend a few days in a scenic location making cheerful memories then, Shimshal Valley will be a great choice.
