UCHHALI LAKE: PICTURESQUE LAKE
In Soan Sakaser Valley, in the southern Salt Range, Uchhali Lake is situated in Punjab, Pakistan. The formation of the lake is due to the absence of drainage in the Salt Range. The highest mountain of the Salt Range, Sakesar emerges over the lake. The lake has salty, saline water but it offers charming scenery.
A boating facility is also available at the Uchhali Lake. It is one of the most visited lakes of the Soon valley. The lakes at Soon valley attract thousands of migratory birds each year including some rare birds such as white-headed ducks from Central Asia.
